In 2026, we’re stepping beyond the expected and into the extraordinary.

Star Struck ‘Out of the Ordinary’ will hit the stage on June 12 & 13, 2026 at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, bringing together thousands of talented students for an unforgettable performing arts experience.

Star Struck is an annual showcase presented by the NSW Department of Education for students across Newcastle, the Hunter, and Central Coast regions. The event features outstanding performances in dance, drama, and music by students from Kindergarten to Year 12, drawn from a wide network of NSW public schools.

The program offers rich performance and learning opportunities that foster a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. Students from small primary schools to large comprehensive high schools, representing a wide range of backgrounds, come together to be part of something truly special.

Held annually at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre, Star Struck is the ultimate performing arts extravaganza – featuring over 4,000 public school students.

Join us in 2026 for a spectacular show filled with mesmerising performances, electrifying energy, and heart-warming moments as we celebrate creativity through music, dance, and drama.

Parking Information for Star Struck

To ensure the safety of all performers and patrons, special parking and traffic arrangements will be in place during Star Struck.

No Parking on Brown Road:

• Brown Road will be one-way only and used as a drop off zone only. All vehicles must approach Brown Road from the Broadmeadow Road end (south).
• No vehicles will be permitted to park or stop for extended periods.
• Traffic Management staff and Police will supervise this area.

Showground Parking:

• Parking within the Showgrounds car park (entry via Griffiths Road) is $15.00.
• Please note there is no drop off zone, and the parking fee applies regardless of time spent within the Showgrounds.
